Bronx man assaulted and robbed of phone and AirPods near Bronx Park East

BRONX, NY – Police are searching for a suspect who attacked and robbed a 32-year-old man early Saturday morning near Bronx Park East, according to the NYPD.

The robbery occurred around 2 a.m. on January 10, 2026, at the northeast corner of Arnow Avenue and Bronx Park East, within the 49th Precinct. Investigators said the unidentified suspect approached the victim and repeatedly punched him in the face before stealing his cell phone and a pair of Apple AirPods worth about $1,200.

After the assault, the suspect fled north on Arnow Avenue, leaving the victim with facial injuries. Police did not specify whether the victim required hospitalization.
