Brooklyn man shot and killed in early morning shooting

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 34-year-old man is dead following an early morning shooting Sunday in Brownsville, according to the NYPD.

At approximately 2:58 a.m., officers from the 73rd Precinct responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot near the intersection of Riverdale Avenue and Osborn Street. Upon arrival, they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to his right arm.

Emergency medical services transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

No arrests made as police continue investigation

The NYPD has not released the victim’s identity, pending notification of his family. No arrests have been made, and police have not identified any suspects or released possible motives for the shooting.

Detectives from the 73rd Precinct are actively investigating and canvassing the area for surveillance footage and witness accounts.
