Brooklyn Park man wins $40,000 Keno prize with Super Bonus play

November 27, 2024

BROOKLYN PARK, Md. — Kevin Wilson, a loyal Keno player from Anne Arundel County, is celebrating a $40,000 win after using his strategy of tracking frequently drawn numbers and adding the Super Bonus to his ticket.

Wilson, who matched all eight of his numbers during the Nov. 25 drawing, said he was stunned when he realized the size of his prize. “It was amazing. I thought I must have been dreaming,” he shared. The win came after Wilson scanned his ticket and received a “Go to Lottery” message, prompting him to confirm the result with the store clerk.

The seasoned Keno player, who previously won $10,000 on an 8-spot game, boosted this prize by selecting the Super Bonus option, which quadrupled his winnings. Wilson plans to use the prize to pay off bills and share the remainder with his wife, Katherine.

The winning ticket was purchased at Chesapeake Liquors, located at 6720-C Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. The retailer will receive a $400 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning ticket.

Kevin Wilson credits his win to careful observation and a little bit of luck, proving his Keno strategy can pay off in a big way.
