Winning third-prize ticket sold on 8th Avenue after Wednesday night’s drawing
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — A Powerball player in Brooklyn is holding a ticket worth $50,000 after matching enough numbers to claim a third-prize win in Wednesday night’s drawing.
The New York Lottery announced one third-prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Brooklyn for the July 29 drawing.
The winning ticket was purchased at Rong Cheng, located at 5822 8th Ave. in Brooklyn.
Lottery officials did not release information about the winner. New York allows lottery prize winners to remain anonymous under certain circumstances.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
