Brooklyn Shooting Claims One Life, Leaves Another in Critical Condition

BROOKLYN, NY – A violent episode in Brooklyn resulted in a fatal shooting and a critical injury late Sunday night. Responding to a 911 call at approximately 10:51 PM, police arrived at 29 Ryerson Street within the 88th Precinct to find two males suffering from gunshot wounds.

The first victim, a 21-year-old male, had multiple gunshot wounds and was urgently transported to Bellevue Hospital by EMS, where he was tragically pronounced dead. The second victim, aged 59, received a gunshot wound to the head and remains in critical condition.

No arrests have been made as of yet, and detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The identity of the deceased is being withheld until family members can be properly notified.

Police believe the shooting is linked to a second shooting nearby that occurred within minutes of this one. It is suspected that it is related to Venezuelan gang activity. The location of this shooting was outside a migrant shelter.
