Brooklyn Uber Driver Brutally Beaten in Unprovoked Attack

NEW YORK, NY – An Uber driver was assaulted by four unidentified men while waiting for a passenger in Brooklyn on Sunday evening. The attack occurred at 586 Alabama Avenue at about 7:20 PM.

The 45-year-old driver was punched multiple times in the face, and after exiting his vehicle, was threatened with a firearm and struck in the head with a metal scooter during a physical altercation. Despite the violence, no property was stolen. The assailants fled north on Williams Avenue. The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

Descriptions of the suspects have been released: the first is a light-complexioned male wearing a black jacket, light blue jeans, and white sneakers; the second and third are males with medium complexions, the former in a black jacket and gray or green sweatpants, and the latter in a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and black and white sneakers; the fourth is a dark-complexioned male dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.
