Union Road supermarket delivers Saturday’s midday score

BUFFALO, NY — A trip to a Buffalo Tops Markets came with a lottery payoff after the Union Road supermarket sold the only top-prize TAKE 5 ticket for Saturday’s midday drawing, a ticket worth $18,278, according to the New York Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold at Tops Markets at 3865 Union Road in Buffalo.

The ticket captured the top prize in the Aug. 22 midday TAKE 5 drawing and is worth $18,278.

TAKE 5 numbers are selected from a field of 1 through 39, with drawings held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

New York Lottery draw-game prizes can be claimed for up to one year from the date of the drawing.

The New York Lottery reported contributing $3.8 billion to public schools across the state during the 2023-24 fiscal year.
