December 10, 2024

BURLINGTON, N.J. — Authorities in Burlington have identified the driver involved in a pedestrian crash that occurred on Friday morning at the intersection of Jacksonville Road and James Street.

The incident, which took place at approximately 7:20 a.m., left pedestrian Mr. Morlack injured after being struck. Investigators used surveillance footage from City of Burlington cameras to trace the red vehicle seen in the area just before the collision, enabling them to quickly identify the driver.

The Burlington Police Department credited the city’s surveillance technology as a crucial tool in the investigation. Officials noted that the footage not only helped locate the vehicle but also provided clarity on the events leading up to the crash.

Witnesses who stopped at the scene to assist and share vital information were also commended by police for their contributions to the investigation.

The department has not yet released further details about the driver or potential charges as the investigation continues.
