Cambridge Police Respond to Multiple Incidents in Weekly Blotter Report

Cambridge, MD – Cambridge Police Department handled a series of incidents recently, dealing with charges ranging from burglary to DUI.

On Wednesday, at approximately 4:22 PM, officers responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of High St. They encountered a victim who reported an assault by Harmon Lorenzo Maddox, 66, from Cambridge, MD. Witnesses noted an altercation outside and that Maddox had entered a neighbor’s residence uninvited. Maddox, found with multiple active warrants, was arrested and charged with burglary, disorderly conduct, and was held on a $2,500 bond at Dorchester County Department of Corrections.

On Thursday, around 10:44 AM, officers served a criminal summons on Matthew Ross Sr., 34, from Cambridge, MD. Ross was charged with failing to secure a child in a safety seat following an incident on September 12 in East New Market, MD. Within a minute, another criminal summons was served on Lamar Marcus Smith, 28, from Cambridge, MD, for malicious destruction of property and intoxicated endangerment due to a September 13
