October 26, 2024

CAPE MAY COURTHOUSE, NJ – On Saturday, October 26, the Cape May County Park and Zoo will be transformed into a Halloween wonderland for its annual “Boo at the Zoo” celebration. Running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., this free community event invites visitors of all ages to join in the festivities, with the Cape May County Board of Commissioners sponsoring the day.

Costumes are encouraged for attendees, young and old, with the Halloween Costume Contest as a highlight of the day. Registration for the contest opens at 10 a.m., with judging to begin at 11 a.m. and an awards ceremony following. The event features a variety of family-friendly activities, including crafts, games, candy giveaways, an inflatable obstacle course, and even a pirate ship attraction. Adding to the excitement, the Cape May Dancers will perform at noon, and a live animal presentation will be held throughout the day in the park’s “boneyard.”

The “Boo at the Zoo” event offers a memorable experience for families, combining seasonal fun with the unique backdrop of the Cape May Zoo’s wildlife exhibits.
