WASHINGTON, D.C. — A late-night carjacking turned tense when suspects confronted a woman and forcibly took her keys before driving off in her vehicle.

The incident happened around 2:54 a.m. on January 22 in the 2500 block of Marion Barry Avenue Southeast.

Police say the suspects approached the victim, demanded her keys, and then forcibly removed them from her pockets.

The group fled in the stolen vehicle, which was later found abandoned a short time afterward.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects, and investigators are now asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

Authorities are offering up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
