Scooter bandits strike in Navy Yard snatch and dash caught on camera
Washington, DC — Police are searching for two suspects who carried out a quick robbery in Navy Yard before speeding off together on a single e-scooter.
The incident happened Saturday around 5:12 p.m. in the 100 block of M Street Southeast, where officers responded to reports of a robbery.
Investigators said the suspects approached the victim while riding on one e-scooter, grabbed the victim’s property, and immediately fled the scene on the same device.
Surveillance cameras in the area captured images of the suspects, which police have released as they work to identify those involved.
The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
