CDC Lowering COVID-19 Quarantine From 14 Days to 7-10 Days

WASHINGTON, DC – The Center for Disease Control is working on new guidance that will lower the quarantine period of people suspected to have contracted COVID-19 from 14 days to 7-10 days, according to multiple reports today.  The CDC cites evidence people could spend much less time in quarantine after testing negative for the virus.

“We are actively working on that type of guidance right now, reviewing the evidence, but we want to make absolutely sure,” said Admiral Brett Giroir, Assistant Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.”
