Central Park Dog Karen Charged for Making False Report

October 11, 2020

CENTRAL PARK, NYC – A woman who was violating Central Park rules with her dog off its leash outside of designated hours threatened called the New York Police Department on a passing man last month who asked her to please leash her dog.   The woman then told police “An African American Man is Threatening My Life”, as she choked and strangled her dog.  She went on to a world of personal pain and eventually apologized, but today, she was charged by the city.

“The Manhattan District Attorney’s office announced charges Monday against Amy Cooper, the white dog walker who was caught-on-tape threatening to call police on a Black bird watcher in Central Park,” ABC News reported today. “She is charged with filing a false police report.”
