Check your tickets as two $50K Powerball winners were sold in New York

One winning ticket was sold in Freeport and another in Syracuse for Saturday night’s Powerball drawing.

Schenectady, N.Y. — Two New York Lottery players could be holding tickets worth $50,000 after matching four white balls and the Powerball in Saturday night’s drawing.

The New York Lottery announced that two third-prize-winning tickets were sold for the June 20 Powerball drawing.

One of the winning tickets was sold at Gala Foods Supermarket, located at 120 North Main Street in Freeport.

The second $50,000-winning ticket was sold at Rocky’s News, located at 447 North Salina Street in Syracuse.

Lottery officials did not immediately say whether either prize had been claimed.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

The New York Lottery remains the largest and most profitable lottery in North America, contributing $3.6 billion during fiscal year 2024-2025 to support public schools across New York State.
