WASHINGTON, DC — A man is fighting for his life after being shot Tuesday night in the 3900 block of 5th Street Northwest, prompting an urgent search for the vehicle linked to the attack.
The shooting happened just before 8 p.m., and responding officers found the victim unconscious and not breathing. He was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries described as life-threatening.
Detectives are looking for a dark blue or navy Chevy hatchback sedan with Virginia tags in connection with the shooting. The victim has not yet been identified, and no arrests have been made at this time.
