SUITLAND, MD — A juvenile male tragically lost his life in a shooting on Thursday evening in Suitland. The incident, which occurred around 6:40 PM in the 7400 block of Towne Park Road, is currently under investigation by the Homicide Unit.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the juvenile outside, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the location. Additionally, an adult male was injured in the shooting; however, his injuries are not life-threatening.

The preliminary findings suggest that multiple shooters were involved and several individuals were armed. A firearm was found in the courtyard area, which is being examined as part of the ongoing investigation.

Authorities are actively working to uncover the motives behind the incident and are consulting with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office. As of now, no charges have been filed against any parties involved.

The identity of the juvenile will be disclosed following family notification and an appropriate period for them to inform other relatives.
