Cleveland Resident Scores $10K Buckeye Cash Win

CLEVELAND, OH – A routine stop at McBills Beverage turned into a $10,000 surprise for Kevin Williams of Cleveland, who hit it big with the Ohio Lottery’s Buckeye Cash scratch-off.

Initially, Williams expected a smaller prize. “I thought it was maybe $100 or $50,” he shared, but as he revealed the numbers, he was in for a shock. “I scratched the first number, and it was $1,000, then another $1,000, and another. I couldn’t believe it – $10,000!”

The timing of the win was perfect for Williams, who expressed how much the windfall helped. “I needed it bad,” he said. After taxes, he will take home around $7,200, which he plans to use to tackle some financial priorities.

The $5 Buckeye Cash game, which still boasts two $100,000 top prizes, was Williams’ ticket to relief. The winning ticket was purchased at McBills Beverage on E 185th Street in Cleveland.
