WILDWOOD, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for Cape May, New Jersey, and Inland Sussex, Delaware. The advisory will be in effect from 6 p.m. Sunday through midnight on Sunday night, with up to one foot of inundation expected above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.

Expected Impacts:

  • Flooding may begin on the most vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, as well as along inland tidal waterways.
  • Some roads may experience partial or full closures due to rising waters.

Affected Areas:

  • Inland Sussex, Delaware
  • Cape May, New Jersey

Instructions: Residents in flood-prone areas should take necessary precautions to protect their property. If travel is required, plan for extra time as road closures may occur. Do not drive around barricades or attempt to pass through water of unknown depth.
