ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — A stolen handgun and 50 grams of cocaine were seized last week when Atlantic City police executed a search warrant on a Baltic Avenue apartment, resulting in three arrests, authorities said Wednesday.
Detectives from the Special Investigations Section carried out the warrant on May 20 at an apartment in the 1500 block of Baltic Avenue. According to the Atlantic City Police Department, the raid was part of an ongoing narcotics investigation led by Detective Moustafa Maarouf.
Robert Taylor, 45, the primary subject of the investigation, was arrested at the scene along with Donna Jordan, 60, and Maria Manigualt, 60, all of Atlantic City. Taylor and Jordan face multiple felony charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon during a drug offense and drug distribution within a school zone.
During the search, police recovered a loaded handgun that had been reported stolen from Virginia, 50 grams of cocaine, and drug paraphernalia used for distribution, the department said. Officers also seized a large-capacity magazine and evidence of money laundering.
Taylor and Jordan were booked into the Atlantic County Justice Facility following their arrests.
One suspect released with summons
Manigualt was charged with loitering to obtain a controlled dangerous substance and was released on a summons pending a court date, police said.
Taylor and Jordan face identical sets of charges, including possession of a controlled substance (CDS), intent to distribute within both 500 feet of a public zone and 1,000 feet of a school zone, and receiving stolen property.
Neither bail information nor court appearances were immediately disclosed. Authorities did not indicate whether additional suspects are being investigated.
The apartment search follows a pattern of recent enforcement actions focused on CDS-related activity in the area. The Atlantic City Police Department has not released further details on the investigation.
