June 6, 2024

TIMONIUM, MD – Significant traffic disruptions are expected Thursday morning following a collision involving a trash truck and a semitrailer on Interstate 83 in Timonium. The crash occurred shortly after 5 AM near Timonium Road.

The incident led to the closure of all northbound lanes of I-83 near the I-695 ramp.

This closure has resulted in traffic congestion on both the inner and outer loops of I-695, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.

Baltimore County fire officials reported that one individual was extricated from the wreckage and is currently being transported to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center by the Maryland State Police Aviation unit.
