Columbus police seek suspect in series of armed robberies

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in multiple armed robberies at retail stores across the city over the past month.

Between Dec. 17, 2024, and Jan. 25, 2025, the suspect allegedly committed several aggravated robberies, brandishing a small-caliber handgun. Authorities describe him as a Black male in his fifties who may walk with a limp. Surveillance images show him wearing different sets of clothing during the crimes.

The Columbus Division of Police released photos of the suspect on social media and urged anyone with information to come forward. The Robbery Unit can be reached at 614-645-4665, and anonymous tips can be submitted to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS (8477).

Investigators continue to track leads as they work to identify and apprehend the suspect.
