Cops Gave Drunken Elderly Woman a Second Chance But She Blew It

CUMBERLAND, MD – A Cumberland resident was arrested early Wednesday morning following multiple disturbances. Corinne Devyak, 68, is facing charges after police were called to her home twice within hours for complaints of disorderly conduct.

Officers first visited the Maryland Avenue residence on Tuesday around 1:35 AM where they encountered Devyak intoxicated and causing a disturbance.

She was issued a criminal citation for disorderly conduct and instructed to cease her disruptive behavior. However, police returned to the same location on Wednesday just after midnight to find Devyak once again engaging in similar conduct.

This time, she was arrested and taken to the Allegany County Detention Center.

Devyak is now awaiting her initial court appearance, facing charges including two counts of disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and failure to obey a lawful order.
