County To Preserve Land Owned by U.S. Homes in Manchester

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Ocean County Board of Commissioners is seeking to purchase and preserve land owned by U.S. Homes on Cherry Street in Manchester.

The Ocean County Board of Commissioners has announced a public hearing on the proposed fee simple acquisitions of Block 109, Lots 14.02, 15.01 & P/O 14.01 in the Township of Manchester. The acquisitions will be made under the Ocean County Natural Lands Trust Fund Program, which aims to preserve and protect natural lands within the county.

A public hearing took place on Wednesday.

The properties in question, located in the Township of Manchester, hold significant value for their natural features and ecological importance. Under the Natural Lands Trust Fund Program, Ocean County seeks to acquire fee simple ownership of these parcels to ensure their long-term conservation and prevent any potential development that could threaten their environmental significance.

U.S. Home Corporation is among the nation’s top ten builders of single-family homes.
