Cranford Police Engage with High School Students Through Educational Program

October 16, 2024

Cranford, NJ – On Thursday, the Cranford Police Department’s Juvenile Unit conducted an educational program at Cranford High School. The initiative, known as “Police and Teens Together,” was delivered to Criminal Justice classes.

This program aims to foster dialogue between students and the police department. The objectives include building empathy, awareness, and trust among participants.

As part of the program, students engaged in simulated motor vehicle stops. They acted as officers to gain firsthand experience of standard police procedures.

This interactive approach provided students with insight into police practices. The program is part of the department’s efforts to enhance community relations.
