Cranford Police to Host Youth Fishing Event During Spring Break

CRANFORD, NJ — The Cranford Police Department will hold its third annual “Cops and Bobbers” youth fishing event on Wednesday, April 16, from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Nomahegan Park, 955 Springfield Avenue.

The free event is open to Cranford residents ages 5 to 13. Participants must bring their own fishing gear, though limited equipment will be available. Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish in the 5–9 and 10–13 age groups.

Check-in will take place between 8:30 and 8:50 a.m., with derby hours running the full duration. Officers will assist children with baiting, casting, hooking, and releasing.
