Crash brings down utility pole, closes Warminster Road in Upper Moreland

UPPER MORELAND, Pa. — Warminster Road has been closed in both directions between Chelsea and Byberry Roads after a vehicle crash brought down a utility pole Friday evening, according to the Upper Moreland Police Department.

The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m., and police have advised that the roadway will remain closed for several hours while crews work to clear the pole and restore safety to the area.

No details have been released about the crash or whether there were any injuries. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and plan alternate routes until the scene is cleared.

Authorities have not provided an estimated time for the roadway to reopen.
