CUMBERLAND, MD – On Thursday, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons to Benn Deal, aged 33. The summons, issued in relation to an assault investigation launched on Tuesday, accuses Deal of two assaults that occurred on Sunday and Monday, on Winifred Rd.
The alleged victim reported that Deal had assaulted her and damaged her vehicle. The charges against Deal include Assault-2nd Degree (x2), and Malicious Destruction of Property less than $1,000. Deal has been released pending trial.
