Cumberland Police investigating home invasion on Pennsylvania Avenue

CUMBERLAND, Md. — Police are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred late Monday night in the first block of Pennsylvania Avenue, the Cumberland Police Department confirmed Tuesday.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 10:40 p.m. after receiving a report that an unknown male had forced his way into a residence and demanded money. The suspect was described as being approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall.

No injuries were reported, and the suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

The Combined County Criminal Investigations Unit is assisting with the ongoing investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Cumberland Police Department or associated tip lines.
