Washington, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department is calling for community support to identify individuals involved in an armed kidnapping incident in Northwest Washington, D.C. This appeal for public assistance comes after a man was abducted at gunpoint.

The incident unfolded in the early hours of Sunday when the victim, who had arranged to sell items to a suspect via social media, met with the purported buyer at the intersection of 25th Street and L Street. Upon arrival, the victim was confronted by suspects who emerged from a vehicle wielding handguns.

The assailants coerced the victim into his car, subsequently driving him to his residence in McLean, Virginia. There, the suspects commandeered money and property before transporting the victim to District Heights, Maryland, where they ultimately fled.

The incident was captured on surveillance cameras. The investigation is being conducted by the D.C. Metro Police, with assistance from the Fairfax County Police Department and the Prince George’s County Police Department.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the identities of these suspects or details about the kidnapping to contact the D.C. Metro Police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous tips can be submitted via the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. Individuals are advised not to approach the suspects but to immediately inform law enforcement of any relevant information.
