D.C. Carjackers Caught On Camera

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force is requesting public aid in identifying a suspect involved in a recent armed carjacking in Southeast Washington.

The incident occurred on December 16th, around 4:40 p.m., in the 300 block of K Street, Southeast. The victim, inside his vehicle at the time, was confronted by two individuals. One assailant brandished a firearm while the other forcibly removed the victim from the car. Subsequently, the suspects fled in the stolen vehicle.

Authorities have described one suspect as a black male sporting short twists clad in a black jacket, black pants, and gray New Balance sneakers.

The police urge anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or details of the incident to contact them at (202) 727-9099. Alternatively, tips can be sent to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
