D.C. Carjackers Caught On Camera

Washington, D.C. — A plea for community assistance has been made to identify suspects involved in an armed carjacking in Southeast.

On Friday, July 19, at approximately 2:04 a.m., the victim was sitting in his car in the 1000 block of Half Street, Southeast, when several suspects approached. One suspect pointed a rifle at the victim, ordering him to exit the vehicle. The victim complied, and the suspects took the car.

Three suspects were captured by a surveillance camera.

Anyone with information about these suspects or the incident should contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The D.C. Metro Police Department offers a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in violent crime cases.
