Club dispute turns violent as gunman opens fire outside Northeast hotspot
Washington, DC — A late-night argument outside a Northeast nightclub escalated into gunfire, leaving one person wounded and a suspect on the run, police said.
The incident happened around 11:51 p.m. April 4 in the 2300 block of Bladensburg Road Northeast, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Investigators said the suspect and one victim were involved in a dispute outside the club when the suspect struck the victim with a gun, leading to a physical fight.
During the altercation, the suspect pulled the weapon and fired, striking a second victim before fleeing the scene.
Responding officers located evidence of a shooting but no victims at the location. A short time later, one victim was found at a hospital in Prince George’s County with gunshot injuries. The other individual involved left the scene and has not been identified.
Police have released surveillance images of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
