EDGEWATER, Md. — Two northbound lanes of Solomons Island Road at South River Road were closed following a fatal accident, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
The accident occurred in the Edgewater area, leading authorities to shut down the lanes for investigation and clearance. Officials did not provide additional details about the number of vehicles involved or the identity of the victim.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and police advised motorists to avoid the area and seek alternative routes. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
