Deadly double shooting in Baltimore leaves one man dead, another hospitalized

BALTIMORE, MD — A shooting in the Southern District of Baltimore left one man dead and another injured Sunday morning, as homicide detectives work to uncover the circumstances of the incident.

Police were called to the 400 block of Washburn Avenue around 8:45 a.m. for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers found two men inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. A 43-year-old man was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to an area hospital, while a 35-year-old man remains hospitalized.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation, but no further details about potential suspects or motives have been released.
