HOCKESSIN, Del. — The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a Liberty gas station in Hockessin on the evening of August 27, 2024.

At approximately 5:43 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the Liberty gas station located at 5821 Limestone Road following a report of a robbery. According to the preliminary investigation, an unidentified white male suspect entered the gas station and approached the employees at the front counter while brandishing a firearm. The suspect demanded money from the cash registers, and the employees complied with his demands.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene on foot, heading toward Barclay Drive. No injuries were reported during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing dark-colored clothing. At this time, surveillance video and images of the suspect are not yet available.

The Delaware State Police are asking anyone with information about this robbery to contact detectives. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
