OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — Several school districts in Ocean County have announced delayed openings for Tuesday, January 16th, due to the overnight snow and freezing rain.

  • Barnegat School District (Barnegat): Opening 2 hours late
  • Brick Township Public Schools (Brick): Opening 2 hours late
  • Calvary Academy (Lakewood): Opening 2 hours late, no morning services
  • Central Regional School District (Bayville): Opening 1 1/2 hours late
  • Children’s Palace Preschool & Child Center (Brick): 2-hour delay, opening at 8:30 AM
  • Donovan Catholic (Toms River): Opening 1 1/2 hours late
  • Education Academy (Lanoka Harbor): Opening at 10:30 AM, staff report at 10:15
  • Green Thumb Day Care (Barnegat): Opening 2 hours late, at 8:30 AM
  • Hugh J. Boyd Jr. Elementary School (Seaside Heights): Opening 1 hour late, no morning services
  • Jackson Public Schools (Jackson): Opening 2 hours late, no AM childcare
  • Lacey Township School District (Lanoka Harbor): Opening 2 hours late
  • LADACIN Lehmann Center (Lakewood): Opening 1 1/2 hours late
  • Littlest Angels Christian Preschool (Lanoka Harbor): Opening at 8:30 AM, will close if Lacey Twp closes
  • Long Beach Island School District (Surf City): Opening 2 hours late, 1/2 day Pre-K canceled
  • Manchester Township School District (Manchester): Opening 1 1/2 hours late
  • Miss Melissa’s Place Daycare (Toms River): Opening 2 hours late
  • Ocean Academy (Bayville): Opening 2 hours late, staff report 2 hours late
  • Ocean County College (Toms River): Closed, all in-person activities canceled
  • Ocean County PIC (Toms River): Opening 1 1/2 hours late
  • Ocean County YMCA (Toms River): Opening at 9:00 AM, fitness classes begin at 9 AM, no morning YKids
  • Ocean Twp. Schools (Ocean County – Waretown): Opening 2 hours late, no morning Extended Day Program
  • Peppermint Tree Child Development Center (Toms River): Opening at 8:30 AM, no morning school-age care, classes start on time at 9:00/9:30 AM
  • Point Pleasant Beach School District (Point Pleasant Beach): Opening 2 hours late
  • Shining Star Academy (Toms River): Opening at 8:00 AM
  • Smarty Pants Childcare (Brick): Opening at 8:30 AM
  • St. Joseph’s Grade School (Toms River): Opening 1 1/2 hours late
