Dog found in Freehold, shelter seeks owner

FORKED RIVER, NJ — The Associated Humane Popcorn Park Shelter is seeking the owner of a recently found dog who was picked up in Freehold.

According to a post from the shelter, the dog, described as a “handsome boy,” is full of energy and has been recently neutered. Staff at the shelter noted the dog’s friendly demeanor and assured the public that he is safe in their care.

“If you are his owner or know his owner, he is safe here at Popcorn Park,” the shelter said in its message, urging anyone with information to contact them.

The dog is currently being housed at the Forked River shelter while staff work to locate his owner. The shelter did not specify when or where in Freehold the dog was found.

Popcorn Park Shelter frequently works to reunite lost pets with their owners and encourages pet owners to check with them if they are missing an animal.

The shelter can be reached via telephone: 1 609-693-1900.
