BALTIMORE, MD – A 46-year-old pedestrian was struck and fatally injured on East Patapsco Avenue early Wednesday by a vehicle that fled before police arrived, leaving investigators searching for answers in a deadly South Baltimore hit-and-run.
Southern District patrol officers responded to the 400 block of East Patapsco Avenue at approximately 5:57 a.m. after receiving a report that a pedestrian had been struck.
Officers arrived and found a 46-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital.
The man later died from his injuries, according to Baltimore Police.
Police said the vehicle involved in the collision left the scene before officers arrived.
