Driver flees scene after multi-vehicle crash injures five in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Authorities are investigating a three-car crash that injured five people Monday night on Kennedy Boulevard, including one woman with a serious lower body injury, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.

The collision occurred around 10:00 p.m. near Claremont Avenue and involved a Honda Accord, a Honda Pilot, and an Infiniti G37. When officers arrived, they found that the driver of the Honda Accord had fled the scene on foot.

Three female passengers in the Accord were injured, with one suffering a serious lower body injury. Two people in the Honda Pilot sustained minor injuries. All were transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment.

The crash is under investigation by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department.

Authorities are searching for the driver who fled after a crash in Jersey City that sent five people to the hospital.
