Drug raid in Brookline nets crack cocaine and over $15K in cash
BROOKLINE, MA – A coordinated drug investigation across multiple law enforcement units led to the seizure of crack cocaine and thousands in cash following a search warrant at a Brookline residence.
Authorities said the operation took place on Wednesday, April 11, involving Boston Police drug control units from South Boston and Allston/Brighton, along with the DEA FIT group and Brookline Police detectives.
Investigators obtained search warrants for a residence at 22 High Street and for the target of the investigation, identified as 21-year-old Devani Perez-Valentin of Brookline.
During the search, officers recovered approximately 30 grams of crack cocaine, $15,019 in U.S. currency, and materials associated with drug packaging and distribution.
Perez-Valentin was taken into custody and transported to the Brookline Police Department for booking.
The suspect was later arraigned in Brookline District Court on a charge of trafficking a Class B substance.
The investigation was conducted as part of a joint effort between local and federal authorities.
