STAMFORD, Conn. — A five-week investigation led by the Stamford Police Department’s Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad culminated on Tuesday with the arrest of Miguel “Cuba” Rodriguez-Veloz, a resident of Main Street, marking a significant advancement in the department’s efforts to curb drug trafficking in the area.

Rodriguez-Veloz was apprehended around 2:30 p.m. after exiting an apartment in the 90 block of Liberty Street. Authorities reported that he was in possession of 1.2 grams of powder cocaine, 2.9 grams of crack cocaine, 4 grams of fentanyl, and $10 in cash at the time of his arrest.

Following his arrest, Stamford police executed a search warrant at the Liberty Street apartment, identified as a “stash pad” linked to Rodriguez-Veloz. The search yielded 112 grams of cocaine, nearly 8 kilograms (7,962 grams) of fentanyl, $2,575 in cash, and various packaging materials and scales.

“This arrest underscores our commitment to dismantling drug trafficking operations in our community,” the Stamford Police Department stated.
