STAFFORD, Va. — An intoxicated driver was arrested early Friday morning after causing a disturbance at a North Stafford business and littering the highway, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy T.G. Croson responded to a call at 1:59 a.m. regarding a disorderly guest at Buffalo Moe’s on Wicomico Drive. The guest, later identified as George Robinson II, 35, of Woodbridge, was reportedly asked to leave the establishment but instead threatened to fight other patrons.

Upon arriving at the scene, Deputy Croson observed Robinson driving away in a tan Cadillac, throwing trash from his vehicle onto the roadway. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and subsequently arrested Robinson.

Robinson was charged with DUI second offense in five to ten years, driving on a suspended license, disorderly conduct, littering, obstruction, and refusal to comply with law enforcement. During the arrest, Robinson allegedly kicked a deputy, resulting in an additional charge of assault and battery of a law enforcement officer.

Robinson is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail pending a bond hearing.
