RED BANK, NJ – Downtown Red Bank will allow business owners to extend their restaurant space outdoors starting today to extend their dining facilities to the street curb outdoors.
Here’s how it works:
The Borough of Red Bank, together with Red Bank RiverCenter and Red Bank Business Alliance, have come together to help businesses recover from the impact of COVID-19 as restrictions from the State of New Jersey have been reduced. To that end a number of regulations have temporarily been relaxed to help restaurants expand outdoor dining and local businesses to set up outdoor activity.
To take advantage of this new opportunity, you may consider temporarily extending your business outdoors onto private property (such as sidewalk, alleyway, driveway, parking lot or open space) or onto adjacent public property (such as right-of-way, sidewalk, on-street parking space, park or other open space).
For downtown businesses located along Broad Street, additional choices include temporary closures of Broad Street and Monmouth Street.

Per Monmouth County Regional Health Commission Health Officer David Henry: “We will not be conducting a pre-operational inspection for the restaurants with expanded or outdoor dining. We will be inspecting food establishments as we normally do during the summer months. This should speed the implementation of the outdoor dining.”
