Early Morning Fire At Jersey Shore Home Depot Reported

MANAHAWKIN, NJ – On Friday, at around 4:12 AM, the Stafford Township Fire Company was dispatched to the Home Depot in Manahawkin following reports of a structure fire. Additional units from Stafford Township EMS, Barnegat Fire Company, a FAST Team from Forked River Fire Company and an Ocean County Fire Coordinator were also dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, first responders found the building engulfed in heavy smoke. Firefighters initiated an aggressive interior attack and managed to extinguish the flames that were initially being held back by the building’s fire suppression system.

The fire was brought under control after about three hours of firefighting operations. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Stafford Township Bureau of Fire Prevention and The Stafford Police Department.
