NEW YORK – The NYPD is searching for a suspect accused of assaulting a 68-year-old man during an argument inside a Harlem business last month.
The assault happened at about 8:05 a.m. Aug. 10 inside a commercial establishment at 2195 Frederick Douglass Boulevard, according to police.
Investigators said the victim became involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified person before the confrontation turned physical.
Metal Container Thrown Into Victim’s Face
During the argument, the suspect allegedly picked up a metal container and threw it at the 68-year-old man.
The container struck the victim in the face, leaving him with pain and swelling, police said. The NYPD did not provide additional information about his injuries or indicate that he required hospitalization.
The suspect fled the business on foot and had not been publicly identified as of Friday.
Police have not said what prompted the dispute or whether the two people knew each other before the encounter.

The investigation remains open, and no arrest has been announced.
