Elderly man brutally attacked by mob in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 75-year-old man was assaulted by two unidentified individuals in Brooklyn on Saturday evening, police said.

The attack occurred around 7:36 p.m. near Rogers Avenue and Hawthorne Street. According to authorities, one suspect struck the victim in the face with a piece of wood while another punched and kicked him before both fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The victim suffered a laceration to his nose, facial bruising and swelling, and a cut to his left finger. He was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition.

Police described one suspect as a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing all black clothing and carrying a dark-colored bag. The second suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, last seen wearing all black clothing and gray Croc sandals.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the NYPD.
