ANNAPOLIS, MD – William Raynard Herold, Jr. was arrested today by the United States Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force in Glen Burnie, MD. Herold, wanted on escape and fleeing & eluding charges in Anne Arundel County, requested medical attention post-arrest.

Following medical treatment, Herold managed to escape custody during transport to the Jennifer Road Detention Center around 11:56 AM. The Annapolis Police Department promptly reported the escape and implemented measures to safeguard the community.

In a coordinated response involving Annapolis Police, Anne Arundel County Police, Maryland State Police, Anne Arundel County Police Aviation Unit, and U.S. Marshals Task Force, Herold was recaptured at approximately 1:30 PM without incident. He is now en route to the Jennifer Road Detention Center. Authorities confirm there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
