Fatal Motorcycle Collision Investigated Near Millsboro

MILLSBORO, DE – A fatal motorcycle crash occurred this morning near Millsboro, prompting an ongoing investigation by Delaware State Police.

The incident unfolded on August 2 at about 8:33 AM when a Harley Davidson motorcycle, headed north on Rockaway Acres Road, collided with an eastbound Chevrolet Tahoe on Shiloh Church Road. The crash occurred as the motorcycle was turning left onto Shiloh Church Road, entering the path of the Tahoe.

The impact caused the front of the Tahoe to strike the motorcycle, ejecting the 19-year-old motorcyclist from Georgetown, Delaware. Subsequently, the Tahoe veered off the road, hitting two trees. The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been disclosed pending family notification.

The 39-year-old female driver of the Tahoe and her 12-year-old passenger, both from Laurel, Delaware, were unharmed. Following the collision, the road was closed for around three hours for investigation and cleanup.
