Fatal Shooting at Oxon Hill Youth Football Game

OXON HILL, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred during a youth football game at Potomac High School in Oxon Hill.

On the morning of June 15, 2024, at about 11:20 AM, police were called to the scene following reports of gunfire. Christopher Mozee, 33, from District Heights, was discovered in the bleachers with multiple gunshot wounds. Mozee was later pronounced dead at a hospital. A child also sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound during the incident.

Initial investigations suggest the shooting may have originated from an altercation among spectators. Authorities are diligently working to identify and apprehend the suspect(s) involved.

The police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this tragic case. Those with any information are encouraged to contact the Homicide Unit at 301-516-2512.
